Why Compans Caffarelli?
Toponymy: The district takes its name from Generals Jean Dominique companions and Marie François Auguste de Caffarelli du Falga, whose premises of the former military barracks of the same name were located in the current district.
The construction started in the 1980s, to continue until today by overflowing on the other side of the boulevards to the south and north of the district.
It is a business district with a regional vocation, concentrating more than 200,000 m2 of offices, hotels and housing. It is separated in two by the Compans-Caffarelli garden containing a Japanese garden listed as a remarkable garden in France.
The veil which begins vertically with the notation "Le Galilée" where it constitutes a supporting veil twists like an airplane propeller to finally land thirty meters further on the second building horizontally.
Beyond its cultural function, this media library, called "La Memo" plays a key role in the urban renewal of the eastern districts of the city of Ingres,
