Balconies: privacy
To allow residents to live between indoors and outdoors, all apartments are designed with curvilinear balconies that taper at each end, thus avoiding balcony dividing walls between neighbours, which most often obstruct side views. And to also avoid any cross-view from one balcony to another, they are strategically positioned so that each balcony benefits from a 180-degree view with no lateral gaze on its neighbour.
In addition, four different floor configurations are implemented, each presenting different balcony positions, then superimposed in alternating order to guarantee a separation of two levels between neighboring balconies. This minimizes downward views from neighbor to neighbor and allows the choice between two types of balconies throughout the building: a single height balcony, shaded by the upper level, designed with exterior curtains for more privacy and wind protection, or a double-height balcony that benefits from maximum sun exposure.
